Increase of Sewer User Fees - Effective January 1 and July 1, 2008

On December 11, 2007, the Pima County Board of Supervisors authorized the following increases:

Effective January 1, 2008

• The user fee rate (volume charges) was increased by 9%, raising the typical monthly user fee (for 10 Ccf) by $1.27.
• The user service fee was increased by 9% to $6.23 ($0.51 per customer bill).

Combined, these increases raise the monthly sewer bill for the average residential sewer customer (for 10 ccf) by $1.78, from $19.78/month to $21.56/month.

Effective July 1, 2008

• The user fee rate (volume charges) was increased by 9.5%, raising the typical monthly user fee (for 10 Ccf) by $1.46.
• The user service fee was increased by 9.5% to $6.82 ($0.59 per customer bill ).

Combined, these increases raise the monthly sewer bill for the average residential sewer customer (for 10 ccf) by $2.05, from $21.56/month to $23.61/month.

• The connection fee rate was increased by 9.5%, which would increase the typical connection fee for 24 fixture units by $485.78.
