The Business of Construction Courses are back! September 23rd kicked off with the first of a set of eleven courses geared towards construction companies and individuals wanting to learn more about the construction business and how to survive in today's unpredictable economic environment.

Experts from the fields of construction and construction related industries have agreed to share their knowledge and real-world experiences. Students represented are those companies that are new to construction, individuals who may be new to the field and large companies looking for a means to network.

The courses began with “Getting the Work” presented by Dick Crowley with Kitchell Contractors. With a total of 43 students, Dick had a large and captivated crowd. Dick reviewed the numerous aspects of what business owners should always keep fresh on their mind in order to keep their company progressing.

Business of Construction Class

Project Management will be the second course and is scheduled for October 7th . Ron Plocki with M. Anderson Construction Corporation will present his expertise and knowledge in construction project management.

Additional upcoming courses are Construction Financial Management, Planning, Insurance and Bonds (Part 1 and 2), Plans and Specifications, Scheduling, Green Building/LEED, Legal Considerations in Construction and Safety.
