Ask a CCOPima County

April-June 2008 (Quarterly Newsletter)

Ask a CCO is our Newsletter Advice column. In each issue we will have various questions answered or advice given by one of our professional Commodity/Contracts Officers (CCOs). We receive questions from Pima County employees as well as Vendors. In this issue, Brenda Wilson has volunteered to answer some questions.

Q: Where can I see the commodities assigned to a Commodity Contracts Officer (CCO) for the Materials and Services Division of Procurement?

A: You may view the assigned commodities for each CCO at the following website: http://www.pima.gov/procure/buyerteams/db/index.asp. You may search by description of the commodity, the CCO's name, or the commodity code number.

Q: How can I have an item added to the pick list of a blanket contract?

A:   Email the CCO that is responsible for the blanket contract the following information:

Item Description (including vendor part number)
Unit of Measure
Unit Price Quoted from Vendor
Pima County Stock Number (if there is one)

If the CCO has questions concerning the item, the CCO will contact you directly.

Q: How can I be added to the access list of a blanket contract in order to issue a Blanket Contract Purchase Order (BCPO) from a blanket contract?

A. Procurement does NOT control the access lists of blanket contracts. This is a Departmental responsibility. You may contact your department's Synergen administrator for this issue. If your department does not have a Synergen administrator, you may contact Mary Jo Furphy (Synergen Project Manager) at 740-3764 for further assistance.
