Training
By far the best way to be prepared for any emergency is to learn everything you can about the wide variety of topics that relate to emergency preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation. There are also some courses that are only available in the classroom. Many of these courses are offered within Arizona, some in Tucson. Normally, these courses are offered for free. To view a State wide listing of locally offered courses, visit the eCatalog available at the Arizona Division of Emergency Management Event Registration Management Application page linked below. Some classroom courses are held exclusively at the Emergency Management Institute. You will need to apply for enrolment; for most courses you will need to be associated with an appropriate organization or employed in an appropriate field. Normally, all expenses for these resident courses, except for food expenses, are covered by FEMA.
