Agua Caliente Hill South Trailhead

photo of Agua Caliente Hill South trailhead

Near the end of Camino Cantil, the Agua Caliente Hill South Trailhead has parking for 15 vehicles and 4 horse rigs. This trailhead provides access to the Coronado National Forest’s Agua Caliente Trail system. Open dawn to dusk. Details: 520-877-6000 (Pima County) or 520-749-8700 (Coronado National Forest). Dogs permitted on leash.

Directions to trail: From Tanque Verde Road go east until Houghton Road. Turn left onto Houghton Road and after a short distance turn right onto Fort Lowell Road. Follow this until nearly the end, into a development where Camino Remuda breaks off to the left. Take this and stay left as smaller roads go right. Eventually it ends at a paved parking area on the right.
