Interested in working at a pool this summer?

Pima County Natural Resources Parks & Recreation Aquatics employs approximately 110 lifeguards, Water Safety Instructors, Coaches, Water aerobic instructors, and Principal Lifeguards each year to work at our 9 swimming pools located throughout Pima County, Arizona.

Pay Rates

Lifeguard - $10.81 per hour
Water Safety Instructor - $11.19 per hour
Principal Lifeguard - $12.02 per hour

Required Certifications:

• American Red Cross Lifeguard Training
• American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
• American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Training (Water Safety Instructor and Principal Lifeguards only
