Summer Recreation Program
Ages 5-12 (5 year olds must have completed Kindergarten)
Monday - Friday, 8 a.m.–6 p.m.
This program offers group games, arts & crafts, indoor/outdoor sports, swimming, special guests, fieldtrips, movie days, and special events. Upon completion of registration packet applicants will be selected through means of a lottery and notified by telephone of their admittance.
May 27 - August 8
Registration (Lottery sign-up): April 14-18
Fee: Free, except for some special events.
T.O.T.S. Program
Toddlers, ages 3-5; Toddler must be toilet-trained.
Tuesday – Thursday, 10 a.m.–12 p.m.
Give your child a head start with a structured pre-school program. This program includes activities that facilitate social interactions and educational opportunities through activities such as: arts & crafts, Spanish lessons, counting games, sporting games, story time, dancing, dress up, water play, gardening, field trips, and more. Upon completion of registration packet applicants will be selected through means of a lottery and notified by telephone of their admittance.
Early Fall Session: August 11-October 3
Registration (Lottery sign-up): July 14-18
Fee: Free, except for some special events.
After School Program
Ages 5-13 (5 year olds must be enrolled in elementary school)
Monday - Friday, school dismissal–6 p.m.
This structured program, for elementary/middle school age children, includes sporting events, fieldtrips, games, billiards, foosball, ping-pong, arts and crafts, homework help, special events, occasional special guest speakers, and dances. Upon completion of registration packet applicants will be selected through means of a lottery and notified by telephone of their admittance.
Fall Session: August 11 – December 19
Registration (Lottery sign-up): July 14 – July 18
Fee: Free, except for some special events.
Homework/Tutoring Program
All ages
Monday - Friday, 2:30–4 p.m.
On-going during school year.
Teen Program
Ages 13-17
Monday - Friday, 12–6 p.m.
Activities for this program include tournament nights, fundraisers (car wash, bake sale, raffles), billiards, ping-pong, basketball, volleyball, fieldtrips, karaoke, and special events. Fundraisers enable the teens to plan and participate in some special events. On-going year round.
Free, except for special events, and fieldtrips.
Senior Program
Ages 50 and up
Meeting: 1st Monday each month, 10 a.m.
Program for older adults. Activities include cards, billiards, arts & crafts, table and board games, trips, social activities and special events. On-going year around.
Fee: Free, except for some special activities.
Public Meetings
Tanque Verde Valley Associates: 2nd Tuesday each month, 7–9 p.m.
