Staging area is actually side-of-the-road parking at the northern end of Avenida de Suzenu, a residential road in the far northeast corner of the Tucson Basin. Hikers and equestrians must pass through a gate and walk east down private Horsehead Road to get to the forest boundary. Route provides access to the Agua Caliente region of the forest and its trail system, as well as scenic Agua Caliente and La Milagrosa canyons.
