River Park Construction Projects

Cushing Street Bridge over the Santa Cruz Closes River Park Paths

Because of construction of the Cushing Street Bridge the west bank of the Santa Cruz River Park path is closed between Congress Street and 22nd Street/Starr Pass Boulevard. Pedestrians and cyclists can cross from the west bank to the east bank at either intersection. The east bank of the Santa Cruz River Park path is closed from north of Granada Avenue (near the Riverpark Inn) to West Simpson Street. Pedestrians and cyclists can take detours at both closures east to a route along the South Freeway frontage road. The City of Tucson expects these detours to be in place for about a year.

Santa Cruz River Park Closure at Grant Road

Due to construction at the Grant Road underpass there will be a detour on the Santa Cruz River Park path. The detour is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during weekdays but both underpasses will be open at other times. Both underpasses will be open on weekends. On Monday, January 16, 2011, one underpass will be closed and people will be detoured to the other underpass. Other intermittent closures of both underpasses may occur. Please refer to the map for detour routes around the construction.

Santa Cruz River Park Congress to St. Mary's

The east side of the Santa Cruz River Park (City of Tucson Maintained) between Congress and St. Mary's will be closed due to the sewer interceptor work for the next 3 months. (posted: 1/30/12)

CDO River Park Path Closure
