BIRDING AT SWEETWATER WETLANDS
Tucson's Sweetwater Wetlands is one of the premier birding spots in Arizona. Expect to see a variety of wintering sparrows, hawks, falcons, and migrating warblers. Many duck and shorebird species pass through during migration and make the area their wintering grounds. This leisurely walk on easy trails is led by birding experts Farrish and Mark Sharon and Mary Ellen Flynn. Reservations required.

ARE WE LOSING OUR NATIVE POLLINATORS?
Pollination ecologist Stephen Buchmann, Ph.D, co-author of "The Forgotten Pollinators" and founding member of the North American Pollinator Protection Campaign, will describe how a variety of native bees make their living, the alarming loss of bumble bee species across the country, and recent developments on Colony Collapse Disorder among honeybees. He will also discuss steps we can take to encourage native bees and other pollinators in our yards, gardens, and wildlands. Ages 12 and up. Reservations required.

YETMAN TRAIL HIKE
During a 2-3 mile easy to moderate level hike we search for signs of wildlife that use this area as a travel corridor. We will also visit the ruins of the old stone Bowen House and discuss its history. Ages 12 and up. Reservations required.

BOTANY HIKE TO ROBLES PASS
Join Pima County naturalist Meg Quinn for an easy to moderate interpretive hike of approximately four miles in the scenic Robles Pass area of the Tucson Mountains. Learn to identify native trees, shrubs, cacti and wildflowers as we hike on a scenic desert trail. Ages 12 and up. Reservations required.

Join Tucson Plein Air Painters Society Signature Artist, Walter Porter, at Pima County's Tucson Mountain Park to learn some techniques for painting landscape scenes in the open air. Experienced and novice artists are invited to "paint out" on their own or to participate in the plein air painting demonstration. Ages 12 and up. Reservations required.

A NIGHT WITH THE STARS
Join us for an evening with the stars, planets, and other night sky features. Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association volunteers will provide an introduction to the night sky and will have telescopes set up for celestial viewing. Bring your flashlight and a lawn chair. Reservations required.
