Pima County's outstanding Environmental Education and Interpretive programs engage children, youth and adults with a wide variety of exciting presentations, fieldtrips and classes. If you are planning a trip to Tucson Mountain Park, Agua Caliente Park, or Feliz Paseos Park you may wish to join one of the guided walks, workshops, talks, and special events open to the all ages and abilities. You will find information on the individual park pages or make a selection from the menu bar at the top on this page.
We also have programs at Brandi Fenton Memorial Park, Mt. Lemmon and Canoa Ranch depending on the time of year.

Join the Tucson Plein Air Painters Society (TPAPS) to learn some techniques for painting landscape scenes in the open air.
Many of the Environmental Education and Interpretive programs are designed to engage all ages but for your convenience we provide program listings by age categories so if you are looking for activities that are most appropriate for kids you will find a quick reference guide to our children’s programs. Or if you are interested in engaging events that are best suited for adults we have a separate listing of those programs.

Teachers will want to visit the School Groups page for information on the elementary and middle school or high school field study trips to selected Pima County Parks and the multi-disciplinary classroom programs. Our school programs are linked to Arizona Academic Standards.
The Youth Group programs offer outdoor excursions and creative ways to connect children with the natural world. Organized youth groups can schedule a trip to Pima County Parks or invite the Environmental Education team to your meeting place or community center.
Pima County’s education team offers an interesting selection of programs geared for adult audiences. Organized Adult Groups can schedule a special park tour or arrange for a presentation on one of several topics related to the Sonoran Desert.
