Women in Art and Their Powerful Husbands

Three renowned women artists, Georgia O'Keeffe, Lee Krasner, and Frida Kahlo shared one circumstance in common: powerful husbands who were successful artists. After delving into these "artistic relationships" you will use these women artists as inspiration to explore your personal creativity through three different mixed-media projects. A variety of techniques will be demonstrated and basic principles of art will be introduced for beginning level students. Painting With Paper

This is the perfect class for someone who wants to explore painting but feels they lack the training or ability to do so. Put your worries aside and learn how to use already painted papers to create wonderful works of art. You will explore color, texture, shape and learn to use the principles of design effectively. You can expect to achieve a big boost of confidence in this class. An $8.00 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the beginning of the first session. Students of all levels are welcome.
