Welcome, everyone!
Come on in. Meet the staff (and possibly, Ellie Towne herself) at the Ellie Towne Flowing Wells Community Center who would like to extend a warm welcome to everyone. Take a tour of the center and learn about our various programs. The center has something for everyone. If we don’t have it now, mention your idea. We are open to new programming ideas.  You do not have to be a resident of the Flowing Wells area to join in on the fun, educational programs, great food and so much more. Also, we now have Wi-Fi connection at the center.

KAPP: Kids And Parent Playtime
This 8 week program is for children ages 3-5 years who are toilet trained and their parent/s.  A variety of activities are offered which may include arts and crafts, music, story time, nutrition education, early learning skills, socialization, sports skills, active games, and much more.  Parent must accompany the child and remain on premises during the entire program.  Additional parent programming may be available.  Please contact the community center for more information.  Registration is by lottery.
Fall KAPPS, Two Classes: Monday and Wednesday, Tuesday and Thursday 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
You may only register for one of the choices.
Spring Session: March 19 – May 11, 2012
Registration (by lottery): March 5-9, 2012 during business hours

Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation facilities are not licensed childcare facilities under section 36-882 of A.R.S.  The school-age youth programs are “at will” drop in programs and youth enrolled in the programs may come and go of their own volition.

The after school program is for children ages 5-13. 5-year-olds must be enrolled in elementary school. Activities include homework help, reading program, group games, sports, arts and crafts, board and table games, special events, and more. The program is free except for some special events.
Winter Session: January 3 - May 18, 2012
Registration (by lottery): December 12-16, 2011 during business hours

Summer Recreation Program
The Summer Recreation Program is for children ages 5-13. 5-year-olds must have completed Kindergarten. Activities include summer reading program, group games, sports, swimming, arts and crafts, board and table games, special events, trips and more. All participants must be registered in the program. Enrollment is limited. Registration is by lottery (computer random selection) except for those centers that are undersubscribed. The program is free except for trips and special events.
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Summer Session: June 4 – July 27, 2012
Registration (by lottery): April 16-20, 2012 during business hours

Teen Program
Ages 14-17
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 2:30 – 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday, Thursday, 2:30 – 7:00 p.m.
Program is ongoing though the year. Teens help plan their activities.

ACES Seniors TripACES (A Club for Every Senior)
Ages 50 and older
Business meeting: first Tuesday each month. Sign-ups: 10 a.m. Meeting 10:30 a.m.
Activities: Trips, games, exercise, billiards, luncheons, etc., as scheduled.

Oldies but Goodies
Instructor: Kitt Ott
Join in the fun, social life and benefits from low-impact exercises-stretching, strengthening, and endurance.
Classes: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:30-10:30 a.m. No fee.

Enhance Fitness
Instructor: Dianna Kelley and Rosanda Diaz
Exercise for participants 60 years or older that wish to improve balance, strength and cardio health. Come in and talk to us about the class on a class day shortly before or after scheduled class time.
Classes: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.

Computer Lab
Instructor: Geoffery Blanton
Introduction to computers, introduction to the internet, and more. Six week sessions. Space is limited.
Monday, 9:00 a.m. – Noon
Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. – Noon
Wednesday, Noon – 5:00 p.m.
Thursday, Noon – 5:00 p.m.
Friday, 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Senior Nutrition Program
This program offers nutritious meals for older adults giving them the opportunity to dine with others and take part in social, recreational, and educational activities. Registration is required. Program is sponsored by Pima Council on Aging. A $2.00 donation requested for lunch.
Lunch: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Lunch is served at noon.

Community Meetings

Embroidery Guild of America: Second Thursday each month, 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Flowing Wells Neighborhood Coalition Meeting and Potluck: Third Thursday, 6:00 p.m.
Community Food Bank, Farm Stand: First and Third Friday of the month, 9:00 a.m.-Noon. Local fruits and vegetables.
