KAPP: Kids And Parent Playtime
This 8 week program is for children ages 3-5 years who are toilet trained and their parent/s.  A variety of activities are offered which may include arts and crafts, music, story time, nutrition education, early learning skills, socialization, sports skills, active games, and much more.  Parent must accompany the child and remain on premises during the entire program.  Additional parent programming may be available.  Please contact the community center for more information.  Registration is by lottery.
Wednesday and Friday, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Winter Session: January 4 – March 2, 2012
Registration (by lottery): December 12-16, 2011 during business hours

Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation facilities are not licensed childcare facilities under section 36-882 of A.R.S.  The school-age youth programs are “at will” drop in programs and youth enrolled in the programs may come and go of their own volition.

The after school program is for children ages 5-12. 5-year-olds must be enrolled in elementary school. Activities include homework help, reading program, group games, sports, arts and crafts, board and table games, special events, and more. The program is free except for some special events.
TUSD provides transporation from White and Vesey Elementary Schools.
Monday – Friday, after school – 6:00 p.m.
Spring Session: January-May, 2012
Registration (by lottery): December 12-16, 2011 during business hours

Teen Night
Ages 14-17
Meet the Second and Fourth Friday each month, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Join in for fun, food, and friendship. Activities include games, pool, foosball, air hockey, arts and crafts, and sports. Dances, parties, trips, hikes, guest speakers, and special events will also be scheduled.
Fees: Free, except for some special events.

Seniors Program

Golden Age II
Golden Age II is a Senior Social Club for anyone 55 years and older.
Meetings and activities: Tuesday, 9:00 a.m.-Noon; additional activities Thursday, 8:00 a.m.-Noon.
Potlucks: last Tuesday each month
Fees: Free except for field trips and special events.

Join Golden Age II in their new home at Drexel Heights Community Center. In addition to Tuesday’s meetings and activities, Thursday is another day for activities including Mah-Jongg, cards, checkers, chess, Ping Pong, pool on our newly refurbished pool table, scheduled field trips, and more. New members welcome.

Enhance Fitness

Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00-10:00 a.m.

An ongoing low to moderate level exercise class taught by a certified fitness instructor. Includes a 20 minutes no/low impact aerobic segment, stretches, and structured strength training exercises using weights. Classes include sitting and standing.  Fitness assessments included at 4 month intervals.

$12 per month or $40 per 4 month session single

$20 per month or $70 for 4 month session per couple
