Board of Supervisors adopts Sustainable
Action Plan for County Operations on August 18, 2008.
This
new plan integrates the goals of sustainability into virtually
all facets of the way Pima County government operates. The
plan features 119 action steps, addressing 8 key areas: Alternative
Fuel Vehicles, Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, Green
Building, Waste Reduction, Water Conservation and Management,
Green Purchasing, Land Conservation and Management, and Reducing
the County’s
Carbon Footprint.

Green Valley Long-term
Water Supply
On December 4, 2007, the Board of Supervisors unanimously
passed Resolution 2007-321 regarding the proposed CAP pipeline
for Community Water Company of Green Valley. This resolution
was presented to the Arizona Corporation Commission at the December
