This on-going eight-week support program is designed to help you lose weight and maintain it with weekly weigh-ins and group discussions. Participants can even earn prizes for participation! Any worksite with a meeting place and volunteer facilitator can host this program. Learn more...

hostingHosting Information

What a host/facilitator does:
• Commits to facilitating at least one eight-week series.
• Establishes a weekly meeting date and time (30 to 50 minutes recommended).
• Advertises the Lose & Win Peer Support Group.
• Arrives a few minutes early to each meeting to set out a scale and sign-in sheet
.
• Welcomes the group each week with a discussion on group members' successes and challenges for the past week.
• Introduces weekly discussion topic, and if applicable, presents information or handouts. Or, alternately, introduces the volunteer who will present the topic to the group.
• Collects a short written survey from each participant at the end of each eight-week series and turns in sign-in sheet to Employee Wellness.


What Employee Wellness provides:
• A scale
• Weight tracking cards for each participant
Sign-in sheet
• Facilitator Guide
• Discussion topic ideas and handouts
• Prizes
• One formal wellness presentation (depending on staff availability)
