Success:

What might you learn or achieve through this program? Here are just a few comments from class participants.

I am walking more regularly since starting this class. I am more aware of ways to get active walking 10,000 steps a day.

I am eating much better - More fruits and vegetables, smaller portions, more balanced meals.

I've learned about breathing to relax and digest.

My blood tests show that my HDL & LDL are fine. This is the first time I wasn’t told that my levels were borderline. I attribute this to improved exercise & walking.

I am mindful of what I put in my mouth and exercise more than ever.

By attending this class, I've learned more about healthy living and have incorporated the information into my daily living.

I learned about the lingering effects of caffeine. This was eye-opening especially since I was a heavy caffeine drinker and also had difficulty sleeping at night. I have been able to cut my caffeine consumption in half.

Instead of trying to lose weight, revamp eating habits, create and do an exercise program all at once, this class showed me how to step in moderation, substitute a good habit for a non-good habit and slowly change. Like Richard Simmons postulates: don’t diet…live it. Make a lifestyle change for life.

I have enjoyed attending class, learning about new topics, knowing about myself a little more, changing my way of thinking and physiological awareness, and appreciate the support of the instructor, coach and others.

The Coaching sessions help keep me on track. I learned a new, reliable, focus on my overall healthy lifestyle, Goal setting and accountability.

In regards to what went particularly well...Seeing "being healthy" as more than just losing weight; and learning how to rethink my relationship with food.
