Grade: 39 Minimum Hourly Starting Salary: $17.07
(SALARY IS 5% LESS DURING TRAINEE PERIOD $16.22)
The Pima County Trainee Program provides training related to the basic knowledge, skills and abilities required by the classification to enable the Trainee to meet the minimum qualifications of the classification within the specified time limits of the program. The Trainee Program lasts a minimum of 6 months and maximum of 18 months. During the training period, the incumbent is paid at 5 percent less than the entry level of grade 39. For specific details, refer to the Pima County Trainee Program, available at the Human Resources Department.
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in public administration, business administration, management, or a closely related field and two years of professional experience in public or business administration. (Relevant professional experience may substitute for the aforementioned education.) OR Three years as an Administrative Specialist or closely related professional administrative classification within Pima County.
Preferred Qualifications:
This position is in the Case Management Division of Pima Health System.
PROGRAM MANAGER - 1847

Grade: 52 Minimum Annual Starting Salary: $47,259
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a program-related field (See below) and four years of experience in program management. (Additional relevant education may substitute for two years of the aforementioned experience.) OR Eight years of experience in public administration, communications, management, or a field applicable to the program’s operation (See below). OR One year of experience with Pima County as a Program Coordinator.
Preferred Qualifications:
This position is in the Administration Division of Pima Health System.
TRADES MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST - SENIOR – 0915R
(ROOFER)

Grade: 40 Minimum Annual Starting Salary: $36,293
Minimum Qualifications: Six years of direct journey-level work experience in Roofing. OR Three years of experience with Pima County as a Trades Maintenance Specialist in Roofing.
Licenses and Certificates: A valid Arizona Driver's License required at time of appointment.
Special Notice Items: A post offer medical screening is required of the successful candidate prior to employment. Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
Preferred Qualifications: The qualified applicant should have five (5) years journeyman level work experience in the following aspects of roofing: construction, maintenance, installation, and repairs; shall possess specific skills to inspect, evaluate, and have product knowledge to determine course of action for roofing and building service; have experience making recommendations to management for facilities modifications; have regional worksite experience in coordinating repairs for 3-ply, built-up, modified cap sheet, siplast, wood shakes, metric and standard shingles, metal and parking decks; experience helping division supervisor create schedules, maintain comprehensive work records, meet with contractors/architects, and suppliers; experience aiding sales representatives; experience ordering and storing materials and equipment; experience keeping the shop and equipment clean and orderly.
This position is in the Outlying Division of the Pima County Facilities Management Department.
