PATIENT CARE SERVICES – LEVEL IV – 4148 D

(LONG-TERM DETAIL)

Grade: M4    Minimum Annual Starting Salary: DOE

Pursuant to Pima County Merit System Rule 8.6 B: An employee is eligible for detail into a non-tested classification only if that employee meets the minimum qualifications of the classification upon detailing or upon completion of the detail assignment.  An employee is eligible for detail into a tested classification only if s/he meets the minimum test scores prior to beginning the detail assignment. Temporary and intermittent employees and employees in trainee status are not eligible to serve detail assignments.  AND  Rule 8.6 C: A detail assignment may be ended by the Appointing Authority at any time, at which point the employee will be returned to her/his regularly assigned position and salary.  An employee whose detail assignment has ended shall have no right of appeal.

Minimum Qualifications:  The equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree which is consistent with the functional responsibility of the category.

Licenses and Certificates: Possession of a current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Arizona. Failure to maintain required licensure shall be grounds for termination.

Preferred Qualifications:

This long-term detail position is in the Nursing Administration Division of Posada Del Sol.


PROGRAM MANAGER - 1847

OPENING: NOVEMBER 20, 2009

Grade: 56    Minimum Annual Starting Salary: $51,975

It is the responsibility of the Program Manager to create project charters and provide preliminary project management to each of these CIP projects, as well as future projects.  The Program Manager serves as an integral component to realizing the Department’s goals and objectives of project management by providing early project guidance and direction through establishment of internal and external stakeholder groups, project concept development, and risk assessment.  In addition to providing support to the Department’s CIP, the Program Manager will assist in keeping the Department’s Metropolitan Facility Plan up to date, initiating basin studies for the sub-regional facilities, and participate in the Public Work’s Department initiative to integrate infrastructure planning with land use planning.

Minimum Qualifications:  A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a program-related field and four years of experience in program management.  (Additional relevant education from an accredited college or university may substitute for two years of the aforementioned experience)  OR  Eight years of experience in public administration, communications, management, or a field applicable to the program’s operation.  OR  One year of experience with Pima County as a Program Coordinator.

Licenses and Certificates:  A valid Class D Arizona Driver's License required at time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:

This position is in the Planning, Engineering, and CIP Division of the Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department.


PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEES ONLY


PUBLIC WORKS MANAGER - 2344

OPENING: NOVEMBER 20, 2009

Grade: 59    Minimum Annual Starting Salary: $55,826

Minimum Qualifications:  A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public or Business Administration, Finance, Civil Engineering or closely related field and three years of progressively responsible experience in public works-related operations, maintenance or construction, including at least one year of supervisory or managerial experience.  (Additional relevant education from an accredited college or university may substitute for the aforementioned experience on one-for-one year basis) (Additional relevant experience may substitute for the aforementioned education from an accredited college or university on one-for-one year basis)  OR  Three years of experience as a Public Works Supervisor-Senior with Pima County.

Licenses and Certificates:  A valid Class D Arizona Driver's License required at time of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:

This position, with work hours from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., four days a week, is in the Maintenance Operations Division of the Transportation Department.


SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES ONLY


INTAKE SUPPORT SPECIALIST II - 1191

Grade: 33    Minimum Annual Starting Salary: $31,356

Minimum Qualifications:  Two years of public contact experience in a Law Enforcement, Judicial System, Corrections, Probation or Legal Setting. OR  One year experience with Pima County as an Intake Support Specialist I.

There are eight positions with rotating shifts and rotating days in the Pima County Sheriff’s Department Adult Detention Center.


CORRECTIONS COOK - SENIOR - 4362

OPENING: NOVEMBER 20, 2009

CLOSING: DECEMBER 4, 2009, 5:00 p.m.

Grade: 30    Minimum Annual Starting Salary: $29,568

Minimum Qualifications:  Three years of progressively responsible skilled experience in large-scale* institutional food preparation, and two years of lead or supervisory experience (which may be concurrent with other required experience.).  *Large-scale food preparation includes food preparation in an institutional setting (e.g., hospital, nursing home, corrections/detention facilities, school or industrial plant cafeterias), large, full-service and fast-food restaurants, commercial cafeterias/buffets, hotel/convention banquet facilities, military feeding facilities (ashore or afloat) or similar mass-feeding or catering operations.  (Completion of course work from an approved school in sanitation, hygiene, quantity food preparation, nutrition, or a closely related subject area, may be substituted for a portion of the aforementioned experience)  OR  Two years of experience with Pima County as a Corrections Cook.

This position with rotating shifts and rotating days is in the Pima County Sheriff’s Department Adult Detention Center.
