PROPERTY APPRAISER SENIOR - 2533

(PREFERENCE GIVEN TO ASSESSOR’S OFFICE EMPLOYEES AS A PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITY)

OPENING:  JUNE 26, 2009

CLOSING:  JULY 10, 2009, 5:00 P.M.

Grade:  44     Minimum Annual Starting Salary:  $39,731

Minimum Qualifications:  Three years of experience in construction, real estate and/or property appraisal and one year of education in regional development, civil engineering, urban planning, property appraisal and/or real estate.  (Acceptable real estate experience is that which included establishing value through research of sales of comparable properties. Acceptable construction experience includes estimating and obtaining building permits)  (Additional relevant experience and/or education from an accredited college or university may be substituted)  OR  Two years of experience with Pima County as a Property Appraiser.

Licenses and Certificates: Within one year of hire must complete the Arizona Department of Revenue Level II Basic Certification courses to qualify for Appraisal or Assessor Certification issued or recognized by the State of Arizona Department of Revenue (ARS 42-13006).  Failure to obtain/maintain the required licensure/certification/registration shall be grounds for termination.

QUALIFIED APPLICANTS WILL BE INVITED TO TAKE A WRITTEN TEST.     

This position is in the Pima County Assessor’s Office.


EDP TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST - 1451

OPENING: THURSDAY, JULY 2, 2009

CLOSING: JULY 10, 2009, 5:00 p.m.

Grade: 55    Minimum Annual Starting Salary: DOQ

Minimum Qualifications:  A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, university or technical school with a major in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field and two years of application programming and systems analysis experience, and/or maintenance and administration experience in a Microsoft Windows based, Intel hardware, client computing environment.  (Additional relevant experience may substitute for the aforementioned education.

Special Notice Items:  This position will require satisfactory completion of a background investigation due to the fact that staff may be required to access criminal justice facilities or interact with data systems, which support criminal justice agencies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of four years experience in the maintenance and administration of a Microsoft Window Software Platform and Intel Hardware computing environment.
  2. A minimum of two years experience in developing and delivering team and individual goals.
  3. A minimum of two years experience organizing project activities while coordinating the resolution of a wide variety of customer concerns and requests simultaneously.

These three positions are in the Service Desk Division of the Information Technology Department.
