2009 Nuestras Raíces Literary Arts Festival

Save the Date for the 2009 Nuestras Raíces Literary Arts Festival. The festival takes place Saturday, March 21 at the Joel D. Valdez Main Library from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and has activities for all ages. The Nuestras Raíces Film Festival takes place the evenings of Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21 at The Screening Room.
This event is presented by Pima County Public Library, The Friends of the Pima County Public Library and REFORMA Tucson.

Join the Pima County Public Library for Nuestras Raíces, its annual celebration of Mexican-American culture at the Joel D. Valdez Main Library.
Stroll through a mercado with music, dancing, food and items for sale. Enjoy storytelling with arts and crafts for children, watch a youth mariachi festival or explore names from our barrios.
Come to the Nuestras Raíces Film Festival for a movie premiere and view immigration themed films at the Screening Room.
Free parking in the library garage.

Pima County employees get special pricing on spring training baseball tickets for the entire 2009 season. Simply present your Pima County identification card at the Diamondbacks ticket office located at 2500 East Ajo Way, and receive a $2.00 discount on any field level grandstand or lower bleacher seats.

Ticket Window Sales Hours at Tucson Electric Park are:
- Monday – Friday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Saturday – 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
If you prefer, you may order your tickets by telephone at 1-866-672-1343. However, there is no discount on tickets purchased by telephone or online.
