Pima County Websites Win ADDYs
The Department of Economic Development & Tourism promoting Pima County’s Attractions received two Silver ADDY awards at this year’s Tucson Advertising Federation ADDY Awards in February. Each award was received for the following websites: www.pimacountyattractions.com and www.tucsonattractions.com. The ADDY Awards honor those who produce the best work in the local advertising industry. Catherine Strickland and Tom Moulton of Pima County Attractions oversaw the development of both websites as promotional tools for local tourism in Pima County and Southern Arizona respectively.

The 2008 State of the County Luncheon is scheduled for Friday, April 18, 2008, and all Pima County Employees are invited to show off their creativity by designing a Centerpiece(s) that will be placed on display at this year's luncheon.

Procurement Department Celebrates National Purchasing Month With Outreach
The National Institute of Governmental Purchasing has declared March as Purchasing Month. In celebration, the Procurement Department is providing outreach to all Pima County Departments. Although you may talk to the Procurement Department on the phone once in a while or maybe send an email or a requisition, have you ever met the person on the other end of the telephone or the computer? As part of the Purchasing Month, staff from the Procurement Department would like to learn more about you.

“PCEC” is sponsoring a Softball Tournament—Family Day Event for all County employees and family, which will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the TEP Sports Park. The winning team will have bragging rights for a year in the County AND a beautiful trophy to show off!

Transportation Open Houses: Get Your Voice Heard
The Pima Association of Governments (PAG) is hosting three open houses for public review and comment on the proposed regional transportation improvements that start construction or design in the next five-year period.
The schedule is as follows:
