Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation

Chill-out Family Excursions

Head to the mountain top with your entire family, explore new places and experience the cool of summer on high at Mount Lemmon. The following programs are open to children ages 5 and up, accompanied by adults. Meet your program guide at Mount Lemmon Community Center and travel as a group to nearby sites for exploration and outdoor activities. Reservations required. Fee $10 per family.

Stream Ecology

Explore a cool mountain stream while learning about watershed and the invertebrates that live in the cool water.

Saturday, June 13, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Fire Ecology and the Alien Invasion

Explore the beneficial effects of fire as a natural part of the forest ecology. Observe the aftermath of the Aspen fire and the struggle between native and invasive plants as the recovery takes place.

Watchable Wildlife

Observing wildlife it is not as easy as it seems... learn the art of careful observation on a cool mountaintop.
