Nature Discovery at Agua Caliente Park
What: Fun activities for the whole family—learn to use a map and compass, start a nature journal, or explore nature through the senses. We use a Jr. Naturalists' backpack filled with special tools for science study and nature exploration. Program lasts approximately 90 minutes.

Living with Urban Wildlife
What: As Tucson 's urban core grows, we must learn how to peacefully coexist with desert wildlife in an urban setting. Join local wildlife expert, Wendy Burroughs , for an hour-long live wildlife presentation about raptors. Learn about hawk, eagle, owl and falcon behavior and learn how to observe and appreciate these aerial predators in an urban setting. There will be plenty of free handouts available, with helpful information for the newcomer or long-term residents. Program lasts approximately 60 minutes.

Agua Caliente Historic Lecture Series
What: Hints of the Past: Agua Caliente Park neighbor, Mary Karrels and Sabino Canyon Naturalist, Walter Coe, share with us what life was like living as a Hohokam Indian 800 years ago. Following the presentation we will take a short walk to visit the Whiptail site that is located partially in the park and on private property.

Digital Nature Photography for Beginners
What: Getting a great image in nature can be frustrating especially when trying to navigate all the confusing settings that come on most modern digital cameras. Learn tips from local naturalists and photography experts, Doug and Doris Evans on how to take a great photograph with your digital camera. The course will cover basic manual and automatic settings equipped on most point-and-shoot digital cameras as well as tips for choosing the right memory card, lighting compensation and flash settings, appropriate shutter speeds and composition. After exploring your camera's capabilities, take a stroll around the beautiful walking trails at Feliz Paseos Park in search of great photo opportunities. Program lasts approximately 2 hours. Sonoran Desert Weedwackers
What: Join the good works of the all-volunteer Sonoran Desert Weedwackers and help restore the health of the Sonoran Desert by removing invasive Buffelgrass from Tucson Mountain Park. Experts will provide instruction on plant identification and proper techniques for removal. Gloves and digging bars are provided. Make sure to bring a hat, plenty of water, sunscreen and snacks.
