ECAP is Recruiting New Members
by Lorraine Simon
The Pima County Employees Combined Appeal Program (ECAP) is recruiting a few good men and women to serve on the Steering Committee.
As a Steering Committee member, you will help plan the annual ECAP fundraising campaign. That’s where the fun begins. Using your skills as a party planner, you would work with the committee to plan the Kickoff and Appreciation Luncheon events.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. You will use your talents to assist with training the ECAP solicitors, secure entertainment and speakers for the two annual events, and many other cool responsibilities.
Another exciting benefit is that you have the opportunity to give back to the community. ECAP donations raised by Pima County employees help more than 275 member agencies that are funded by ECAP contributions. These include social service agencies that provide assistance to youth and seniors, combat hunger, work with domestic abuse victims and the working poor. Health care organizations, animal welfare and rescue groups, and many other worthwhile causes in our community also benefit from ECAP contributions.
ECAP is an annual work site fund raiser which allows Pima County employees to contribute to their favorite charity through payroll deductions or a one time donation.
Anyone interested in joining the ECAP Committee, should contact Shelley Rose at shelley.rose@pima.gov or 243-6348.
