Air Quality Advisory

News Release

For Immediate Release

Contact:    Beth Gorman    (520) 740-3343

Tucson, Arizona (October 27, 2009) – Gusty winds today may increase levels of particulate matter in the air around Pima County. So far, Pima County Department of Environmental Quality’s monitors are not recording elevated levels of air pollution; however, parts of our community where disturbed land is prevalent may experience higher levels of particulate matter than other areas. Individuals who are sensitive to particulate pollution and those with heart or lung disease may want to reduce their level of excursion when they are outside this afternoon.

For up-to-the-hour air pollution information, click on www.airinfonow.org or call (520) 882-4AIR.
