
Sonoyta Mud Turtle
Kinosternon sonoriense longifemorale
The Sonoyta mud turtle's head and neck are brown
or olive on top, and yellow or cream color below. The head and
neck are also spotted with light and dark markings. The shell
is olive or brown in color. These turtles are usually found in
springs, creeks, ponds and waterholes. They eat a variety of food
including insects, crustaceans, snails, fish, frogs and plants.
