the ballplayers went to talk to Chapo's uncle

After the game, some of the ballplayers went to talk to Chapo's uncle. Uncle Tony takes care of the school's playground and fields.

"Poison can kill them," said Tony, "but that takes a lot of money and doesn't always work. I try to pull them up before the plants make thorns, but this year there has been too many for me."

"I'll help you pull them up!" volunteered Amy. Steve, whose hand still hurt a little, said he would, too. All the players soon agreed to help.
