youth during the summer and year-round. There are
“job-ready” youths, ages 16-21, just waiting for an opportunity.

Pledge-A-Job, Incorporated:

Pledge-a-Job was created by the Pima County Workforce Investment Board to increase the number of opportunities available to youth. The program matches youth ages 16-21 with job openings pledged by local employers who are interested in hiring youth for part-time, full-time and summer jobs. In order to qualify, youth must attend an Employability Skills Workshop, and must be functioning successfully at the 7th grade level or above in reading, math and language skills. Qualified candidates will interview with employment counselors who prescreen and match youth to employers' job requirements.
