Clay Classes - Room 108

Please email Kino Community Center to register for any of the classes. Registration fees will be collected the first day of class. Thank you for your interest and we hope you enjoy these activities. Register via email.

 

ADULT
ACTIVITES

Pottery Class for Adults
Thursdays - May through August, 2009
Open Lab Classes: 1:00 - 3:30 p.m. or 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Instructor:  Lil Kinslow, BFA, 18 years clay teaching experience.

Course description: This class will explore all methods of clay work including hand building slabs of clay, with coiling or pinching and throwing on a potter’s wheel. Any level of experience is welcome. The cost is $15.00/lab session and includes firing. Clay is purchased from the Instructor.

Storyteller Doll Workshop
One Day Only
Saturday - 9:00 – 3:00 p.m
Registration Fee: $40 from

Course description: This is a one day workshop. Learn to make a clay storyteller doll unique to your own family. No clay experience is needed. Instructor will demonstrate methods as you work. A class time/time will be arranged based on interest. Please contact Lil Kinslow at 883-5664 to if you are interested in attending a one day class. Instructor: Lil Kinslow

Course description: “Digging Out The Jewels” - Students will experience sculpture techniques including ways to make armatures. Instructor: Gerrie Young.

Course description: Experience clay by learning clay forming as you go tooling around! Learn to carve through and complete a hand building series. Glazing techniques included. No experience is necessary. You can also learn to wheel throw and make pots. Beginner and advance level students

July 24 - August 21

Registration: $60

Course description: Join us for fun and laughter as we make clay objects in fantasy creatures or wild beasts. Children can use their imagination to create lots of whimsical creations!
