Improved transportation infrastructure is vitally important to every resident of Pima County. Years of unchecked growth have resulted in near gridlock conditions on many primary and secondary roadways. The benefits of improving our transportation infrastructure include increased capacity, safety, flood control and noise mitigation; all of which will improve the quality of living conditions for residents of Pima County. A manageable transportation system is essential for the economic development of the community as well. In the future, a more strategic relationship between land use, transportation and environment is vital.
