Public Meeting Notice: Proposed 36th Street Trailhead

Pima County Supervisor Richard Elías, City Council Member José Ibarra
and Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation are pleased to announce
a public information meeting to be held on Thursday evening, September
28, 2006 to discuss the 36th Street Trailhead project.
You are cordially invited to attend.
The meeting will be held at the Oyama Elementary School,
2700 S. La Cholla Boulevard (southwest corner of 36th Street and La Cholla
Boulevard) in the Multi-purpose Room. The meeting will begin at 6:30
p.m.
Project Information:
The proposed 36th Street Trailhead involves the construction of a new
public trailhead parking area at the western end of 36th Street. The trailhead
will provide public trail access to Tucson Mountain Park. The lot will accommodate
a total of 22 cars, including two accessible spaces for physically challenged
users, and will be gated. The existing wildcat dumpsite at the end of the<
road will be cleaned up as a part of the trailhead project. Pima County
staff will be available to answer any questions you may have concerning
the project and its construction timeline. For more information prior to
