7.                  Belvedere Acquisition (10 minutes)

2004 Open Space Bond Category: City of Tucson – 36th Street Corridor.   

Staff recommends approval of this acquisition via assignment of the option to purchase from Arizona Open Land Trust to the County. Background materials will be provided to the Commission at least 5 calendar days before the meeting. 

 

8.                  Acquisition of Diocese Parcel – Los Morteros (10 minutes)

2004 Open Space Bond Category: Community Open Space – Los Morteros.  Staff recommends approval of this acquisition and recommendation to the Board of Supervisors that the County participate in the auction for the property with a not-to-exceed bid amount to be determined by the Board of Supervisors during executive session. Background materials will be provided to the Commission at least 5 calendar days before the meeting. 

 

9.                  Semi-Annual Status Report to the Board of Supervisors on 1997 and 2004 Open Space Bond Programs (10 minutes)

 

10.              Applications for the Sale of Open Space (5 minutes)

Curtis/Petrowski/Nunez - 2004 Open Space Bond Category: Secondary Habitat Protection Priorities, Southeast Sub Area. Commission placed due diligence for the Curtis parcel on hold and placed the Petrowski and Nunez applications on hold to determine Bureau of Land Management’s interest in these properties. Staff met with BLM and recommends no further action on these applications at this time.

 

11.              Conservation Opportunities in the Northwest and in the area of Arthur Pack Park (15 minutes)

Report from Critical Landscape Connections subcommittee meeting.

·         Bar V Ranch (Acquired 2/17/05)

·         King98 (Acquired 3/18/05)

·         Rancho Seco (Board of Supervisors approved acquisition)

·         Carpenter Ranch (Commission recommended due diligence)

·         Camino de Oeste Project Area (Commission recommended due diligence on certain parcels)

·         Poteet (Commission recommended due diligence)

·         South Corridor project area – (Commission recommended securing contingent options on western parcels and Hiett and Heater properties)
