Archaeological Photos

In some parts of the project area, before archaeological excavation occurs, soils must be tested to make sure no contaminants are present. Here a core test is taken. Historical research showed that this was the location of metal and plumbing supplies facilities in the 1930s and 1940s. If any contaminated soils are found, they are disposed of by permitted companies in environmentally safe ways.
