Archaeological Photos

An archaeologist records a shallow house
floor of the pre-Hohokam Cienega phase that probably dates between
about 800 BC and AD 200. So far, this is the earliest feature
found in the project area. The house floor is seen as the depression
in the foreground. The blue flags on the house floor denote the
locations of features in the floor that have yet to be excavated.
