ATTENTION APPLICANTS

EFFECTIVE immediately, we will be sending correspondence to your e-mail address if provided on the application.  Please ensure the e-mail address on your application is legible and accurate. 

EFFECTIVE 12/1/08, Pima County will accept electronic (e-mailed) applications without the signature to hr@pima.gov.  When submitting the electronic (e-mailed) application, the applicant shall affirm that all information contained therein is true and accurate.  Should the applicant be hired or appointed, any false information provided shall constitute just cause for disciplinary action up to and including termination.  (If you are invited for an interview, you will be required to sign a copy of the application at that time.)

• Job listings are updated every Friday by 5:00 p.m. and are available at our employment desk. The phone numbers for contacting the employment desk are (520) 740-8028 or (520) 740-8085, or T.D.D. (520) 740-2728.

• Applications are accepted only during the period of recruitment as stated in each announcement. Applications may be faxed to us at (520) 620-1487. Applications, facsimiles, or e-mails must be received in this office prior to 5:00 p.m. on the closing day.

• A separate application must be submitted for each classification applied for. A single application is good for any position within a classification. We keep applications on file for six months.

• Photocopied applications will be accepted with an original signature and date.

Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of an application.  Resumes are accepted for positions in pay grade 35 or above and must be attached to the completed application. We do not accept "see resume" on your application.

• Once an application is submitted, it becomes the property of Pima County. Make copies before submitting your application. Changes to your application or additional information may be submitted on an Applicant Change Form.

• Some positions require testing and will be identified as such in the announcement.

• Please pay close attention to the Minimum Qualifications for each position. If your application does not meet these minimum qualifications, it will be rejected and you will be notified in writing via mail or e-mail.
