Community and Economic Development
Pima County Community and Economic Development (CED)
administers Federal, State and local funds, and oversees departments
and programs
to improve the standard of living for people with lower incomes and people
in rural, unincorporated communities. CED oversees county economic development
and tourism efforts to develop a healthy economy in partnership with
Tucson Regional Economic Opportunities, Inc.
Pima County Community and Economic Development is comprised of four main
departments.
Community Development and
Neighborhood Conservation
The Community Development and Neighborhood Conservation department’s

the quality of life. This is done through providing affordable housing,
assisting with community and rural development, encouraging faith-based
and community initiatives and focusing on neighborhood reinvestment projects.

School, and many more.
Community Services, Employment
and Training
The Department of Community Services, Employment and
Training strives to provide services that assist local employers, improve
the education and skill level of workers and youth, increase the average
household income, and improve the economic, physical and social well
being of the entire community, with particular focus on lower income
neighborhoods and communities.
Economic
Development And Tourism

with the business, academic and tourism community to enhance the economic
well being of the region. The department also provides business development,
