Is your company reducing the size of its workforce, changing employee skill sets or facing a business closure? The Pima County ONESTOP Rapid Response Program is ready to assist employers and their employees in the case of a layoff or company closure.

Our Rapid Response Coordinator will work with your company representatives and employees to develop employment transition services in advance of the layoff, and to minimize the impact on our community. Our program can provide services that are customized to each layoff and to each company’s needs in order to help your company manage the workforce reduction and transition of your employees into new jobs, at no cost to employers and to your employees.

Services include:

• Conduct company visits to review and discuss rapid response/layoff assistance services for upcoming layoffs or closures.

• Advise businesses of tax incentives, training programs and other workforce issues as possible options to reduce or avert layoff.

• Coordination with other local agencies for services your employees may need.

Benefits to Your Workers:

• Conduct orientations of services to dislocated workers on company site or at one of our ONESTOP locations, to include education opportunities, retraining services and unemployment insurance benefits.

• Coordinate group workshops on Employability Skills, Resume and Practice Interviewing.

• Provide skills assessments and career counseling plans.
