
About our Program:
If you are looking for work, changing careers, or exploring new career
options, the ONESTOP System is a single point of entry for jobseekers – youth, adults, and dislocated workers – to a network of employment,
training, and educational programs in Pima County. By offering high-quality
services, referrals, and training, the centers bridge the gap between
employer and job seeker by connecting qualified applicants with job openings.
Services:
ONESTOP Career Services are divided into three levels:
By assessing each job seeker’s needs, ONESTOP Workforce Development
Specialists can guide jobseekers through the three levels of service
as appropriate to make sure all are provided with the necessary
resources to obtain gainful employment.
Core Services:
The ONESTOP Resource Room is your job search headquarters.
Services are available to anyone, free of charge, on a walk-in basis
from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. Core Services include:
• Computers to develop your resumes and cover letters
• Internet Access – explore job opportunities, establish
an email account and send resumes
• Copier, fax machines and telephones (for job-seeking purposes
only)
• Career Library – resources such as local employer directories,
sample resumes/cover
letters and labor market information are available.
• Business Journals/Newspapers
• Assistance with registering for Job
Service and Virtual
One Stop
computerized labor exchange systems
• Job lead board and local employer information
• Unemployment
Insurance information
• Typing/Keyboarding tutorials
• Consultations with Workforce Development Specialists to provide
job leads and placement assistance
• Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor/Navigator on site
• Assistance with creating a professional resume
• Workshops and Job Clubs
• Pledge-A-Job youth job placement program
• Job Readiness workshops – Employability
Skills, Career Exploration, Practice Interviewing/First Impressions,
and Resume Writing
• Information about education and vocational training opportunities
with partner agencies and employers
Intensive Services
If you need additional services to secure sustainable employment you
may be eligible to enroll in Intensive Services. With the help of Workforce
Development Specialists and through a network of partners (non-profit,
government, educational, and private corporations) participants have
the opportunity to participate in the following services:
• Comprehensive Career Assessment
• Practical Action Plans to achieve career goals
• Basic Skills Workshops such as computer training
• Adult Education, Literacy, and Workplace Education
• GED programs for youth and adults
• Internships, Service Learning and Work Experience
• Youth Leadership Development programs
• Teen Health Services
• Pima Vocational High School
• Las Artes – vocational arts and education
• Employment programs for Homeless Youth and Adults
• Follow-up services after entering employment
Supportive services for active participants and their families are provided
through an integrated network of community service providers.
Training Services
If you do not have the skills necessary to secure sustainable employment
you may be eligible for Training Services, including specialized occupational
skill training. Workforce Development Specialists can help you to prepare
an application for training through:
• Occupational skills training from Arizona’s Eligible
Training Provider List of more than 300 programs
• On-the-Job training and internships
• Customized training in special-demand areas
Training applications are approved based on the strength of the application,
feasibility of the training plan, and availability of funds.
