Mission
The Mission of the Kino Teen Center is
to provide the youth of Pima County opportunities for achieving and
maintaining an optimal level of well-being: physically, emotionally,
and socially; and for adopting a healthy lifestyle – ultimately
acquiring a healthy and productive adulthood.
Services
The Kino Teen Center is a comprehensive program
providing health care and services to youth, ages 12 –21. In
addition to health care service, the Kino Teen Center also provides
the following services:
- Staff member assistance to adolescents’ individual needs
- Referrals to other social services and counseling agencies
- Assistance in obtaining health insurance coverage
- Information on education and youth employment skill training
The Kino Teen Center strives to maintain an atmosphere
that is sensitive to culture and gender diversity. All teens are welcome!
Health services provided by the Kino Teen Center are by appointment only, no walk-in service is available. (Please note that some services require parent’s
permission.)

—Primary Care for:
Allergies, Asthma, Ear Aches, Sinus Infections,
Sore Throats,
Stomach Aches, Sprains and Strains.
—General and Sports Physicals
—School Immunizations and HPV
—Complete prenatal health care with case management
—Family Planning/Birth Control
—STD testing and treatment
Confidential services are also provided, including birth control,
pregnancy,
and STD testing.
Financial Assistance for Health Care
Uninsured? Don’t worry! The Kino Teen Center provides professionals
to assist you in obtaining adequate health care for all of your
personal needs. In addition, the Kino Teen Center accepts:
- AHCCCS insurance, and other insurance plans
- Sliding scale fees for uninsured
Even if you do not have health
coverage, please do not hesitate to contact the Kino Teen Center.
We can set up an appointment to meet with you
to discuss your needs, find options for coverage, and most importantly,
make sure that your health is taken care of.
Information and Materials
Do you have questions about health and nutrition, sexually transmitted
diseases, abstinence, and/or what’s normal and what’s
not in men and women’s health? Our staff is ready to help
you answer those questions and many more. We also provide materials
and brochures to help you learn more about your questions.
