Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What makes the Kino Teen Center different from other
clinics? This is your place! We offer services only to youth, ages 12-21. Our staff
provides quality health care and other services for young people, and we
are committed to help you take control of your own health by offering information
and classes you may need in order to promote healthy development. You may
attend alone or with a family member, guardian, partner, friend(s), and/or
caretakers. The Kino Teen Center is part of the One-Stop System, and our center is located
next door to other services that can help teens with many other concerns
such as education, special training & job opportunities, and even internships
and volunteering programs.
Are your services confidential?
Parental consent is required for general medical health services, but many
of our more sensitive services are confidential and do not require parental
consent (see Services). While we encourage you to talk with your parents or primary care givers,
we understand that this is not always possible. Just remember, your
personal information will not be given out without your permission. How do Teens pay for services?
We accept AHCCCS insurance, KidsCare, Pima Community Access Program (PCAP),
and other insurance plans. If you don’t have insurance, our qualified
staff can help you with insurance eligibility assistance. Otherwise, our
services can be provided on a sliding scale, or other arrangements can
be made.
